Besides, he is also the founder of DataDrivenInvestor (DDI) (and its DDI Medium publication), home to 1.5 million monthly readers and writers worldwide in technology, finance, and entrepreneurship. Dr Chan was a former quantitative strategist at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo. A former researcher and published author in finance, Dr Chan specialized in microstructure, alternative data and behavioral finance, published in peer-reviewed finance academic journals, and was a research faculty at Singapore Management University. Currently, Dr Chan is an adjunct lecturer at the Advanced Computing for Executives at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the areas of Fintech and Artificial Intelligence. Brenden Hew is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of extensive experience in the financial industry. Throughout his dynamic career, he has held diverse roles in various companies, showcasing his versatility and adaptability. His journey began as a marketing executive in a local company before he transitioned to Allianz Life Insurance (M) Berhad (ALIM) in 2004, where he assumed the role of a Life Planner.
During his tenure at ALIM, Brenden consistently provided clients with cutting-edge risk management strategies and conducted thorough reviews of insurance policies. His dedication and expertise led to significant achievements, including the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) recognition. Further expanding his horizons, he joined Allianz General Insurance Company (M) Berhad in the same year, broadening his services to include General products.

Hisham Ismail has been in the IT/Telecommunications sector, specifically in the Telecom and mission-critical sectors for more than 25 years. Hisham has commissioned several Operations Support System (OSS), Business Support System (BSS) and Value-Added Services (VAS) products for telecommunication companies around the world. Hisham is adept in business management such as Fund Raising, Business Strategy and Planning, Business Turnaround Strategy and Financial Planning. Hisham started his career by designing home-grown pager equipment, from electronics design to firmware development, before moving into Multi-Application Smart Card development for a Canadian company, with offices in Malaysia and Indonesia. Hisham then moved into the Billing and Mediation System project for Celcom Malaysia, before continuing the Mediation and Provisioning System for Satelindo in Indonesia. Hisham also provided the VAS system, Partner Management System to Maxis Mobile in Malaysia, including the Booking System and Payment Network integrations with AirAsia through collaboration with Maxis. Hisham then moved to Europe, doing a Service Delivery Platform, Product Management and Global Integration Platform for Vodafone Global, covering the Operating Companies in Netherland, United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain. Hisham also provided various VAS systems and contents for Du in UAE, Orange in Jordan, Saudi Telecom in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Viva in Kuwait, Zain in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. Hisham then moved into the e-Learning segment and worked for Open University Malaysia for their e-Learning project in Saudi Arabia, commissioning a nationwide e-learning platform, including design, build and commission of data centres in Riyadh and Jeddah, television broadcasting network for Saudi Arabia Learning TV channels. Thereafter, Hisham worked for Scan Associates Berhad in the Broadband over Power Line project, designing the fibre passive optical network to the target residential areas, and delivering broadband experience to the homes through electrical power lines as the last-mile network. This project also involved setting up the OSS and BSS components to become a full-fledged Internet Service Provider.
